Why don't you attack some more deserving group. Like the RC's, Budhist's, Islam, or something. And I've yet to have seen any of your more derisive claims hold any substance and I've been around for a while. I even went to a "cult specialist" before becoming involved in this ministry. You just can't stand to think that someone might actually choose to believe something contrary to the take it on faith mixed up nonsensical mainstream. I think your efforts would be better spent on groups who totally oppose the christian God, don't you! And just what might be accomplished if Rev.LC Martindale even bothered to waste his energy conversing with you, someone who already has a verdict decided upon. Most of your info comes from copped out/kicked out people/clergy, most of which come from a time of turmult following Dr.VP Wierwilles death. This ministry cannot be held responsible for the unsupported acts of people who abuse their positions. But when it has been made aware of people like this it has quickly had those incidents dealt with. And what kind of a wimp is J. Martin to be crying how he's so scared of TWI anyway. People have their own will to chose, and their is no brainwashing going on, although there is plenty of propaganda being aimed at TWI. I'm familiar with brainwashing tactics through the military and psychological studies, and nothing I've seen in 7 years comes close. Unless you define it as an idea being presented in logical manner that can be researched independantly actually being accepted and believed 100%. Lets see how much credit you can give TWI in areas such as abortion, life after death, homosexuality, debt...Nobody gave a damn about teaching me the scriptures in any depth till I came to this ministry. Now people want to call me a cultist, people who never even opened their mouths to me about the scripture let alone told me a damn thing about God or being a christian. The only people I've even seen come close to the depth of understanding of the scriptures and practical application of it have been people who copped out and ripped of our research and teaching. How many of your lousy sermons have you ripped of TWI's resources, since I know you people can still get our tapes and magazines. Blech!!! I get sick just thinking of some hypocrite making it their lifes mission to attack TWI. And in referance to speaking in tongues, I'd go see a doctor if your hyperventalating. What kind of idiotic nonsense was that all about! And your list of Buzzwords is pretty off too...Living on a need basis: is the standard in which the believers of Acts lived, need includes recreation, fun, savings,ect... God wants us to live abundantly not barely. One-time healing has no truth behind it. Their is no paramilitary training going on...And the use of would you be blessed to and would you do me a favour is openly condemned or did you miss that announcement? And if I'm not mistaken you guys are against John Lynn's bogus ministry as well, so how can you use him as a source of reliable information. The Core beliefs are of as well... Homosexuals according to Romans 1:21-32 are worthy of death, the context usually being probability of them not being saved. But sin is sin in God's eyes and they can be saved, although it is very unlikely they would make the choice to do so since there is no way they can do the wil of God without getting delivered. The Holy Spirit is also noted to be used in association with God as well as the holyspirit recieved when being born again. And the soul is absolutely not immortal, or why would you need Jesus Christ or the holy spirit, or God for that matter. There is more than on ressurection. And anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see that you don't get 3d/3n from good friday to Easter morning. And I'd like to see where you get your info to be saying TWI doesn't feel the OT doesn't have any real meaning. And Christmas doesn't really have a damn thing to do with the birth of Jesus Christ at all. And as far as Eating at TWI what's your point? Why don't you do a little research on ettiquette, say the Amy Vanderbilt book. I'd like to see what you take a stand on in the Word let's see YOUR CORE BELIEFS. Or are you afraid someone might disagree and won't listen to your propaganda anymore. Rev. Martindale takes a stand and is on the record every time he does a SNS tape or puts out the way magazine, he knows people like you have access to them. And yeah you might hear a remark or so concerning the rampant hypocracy and stupidity in "christenDUMB" but the bulk of our energy is spent teaching the Word of God and building people up to the level that God intends faithful sons and daughters to be at. So let's see your integrity...We teach the Word to people and then they make up their minds what to do when denominations or popular opinions don't match up to the Word.

Sir or madam:

If I were bored enough, I might decide your ambitions are worthy of attack so as inspire me to dig and probe into your life, exposing its idiosyncrasies, nuances and contradictions. Possibly the degradation of your character would make you less believable, though I doubt it would change the truth. An attack on my life would no doubt prove much more fruitful, though there would be no doctrine to drag through the mud. I would like to believe there is no word of God that is getting muddy with your attacks. I feel sorry for someone who has to look at and smell garbage all day, for example, a garbage collector. I am much more inspired and comforted by looking over the grandiose topography of a mountain range after climbing up high enough to scope it. This is just me, I suppose. Maybe I hit the wrong site, or maybe I didn't get high enough on this site to enjoy the view, since my interest in The Way has not yet been quenched. I have "found out" things about The Way that I never knew before, and I was closely associated with this group from 1976-89. I don't know if you are correct or incorrect in your writings, but I know they have been written. I honestly hope your reward will be just, and that your heart is not full of mischief. Ephesians 2:10

By the way, I'm not that bored.

An X wafer,

Terry Johnson

p.s. Quoting this site: ...an article on National Guard military training of the elite Way Corps; 6 new articles including alleged defense plant infiltrations[sic], reports of child abuse and the sexual promiscuity of TWI's founder,

Enough of the [sic] jokes, put your own writing in MS word before you publish, or quit making such a big deal of everyone elses mistakes, you're not that good!

Hello. My name is Rebecca. I am part of the Way Ministry and am responding to your magazine articles. If you have a problem with something that is being said or taught, then you need to point out why it is a problem. Then you need to teach what is correct. It says in II Peter 1:3-4, "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby we are are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature..." Here are promises that God made to anyone who will walk steadfastly in His Word. I claim these promises because I can. Who told me? God did---it's in the Word. The Way Ministry taught me how to read the bible and research so that I never had to second guess God. If you can show me anywhere in the Bible where God took those promises away from those of us who live today, then maybe you have something. But since all your doing is attacking a ministry, and not showing why your doing it based on the Word, then you are lacking what support you could have (but won't ever find) that stands above everything, even the Way Ministry. You are lacking God' rightly divided word. When I first got in the Way ministry, I was excited. Still, I checked everything before deciding they were on track. everything they teach is supported by the Word! What Isaiah taught us, John taught us, Peter taught us, and most importantly what Christ taught us are all there for you and me. Christ followed the Father's will, not his own; so I do to.

God bless and greetings in the wonderful name of our living Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

I am fairly new to the internet and have seen some of your articles. The reason that I am writing this is to tell you about my overall experience with The Way International.

Let me start by saying that I have not been affiliated with The Way International since 1983. The reason my affiliation changed was because I began spending most all of my time with my wife to be, who was not affiliated with The Way International. When I began to drift away, I contacted leadership in the The Way International and they told me to do what I felt I needed to do and not to condemn myself. This sure is contradictory of what your articles have been pronouncing!

Let me further state that my standing in The Way International at that time was as a first year Way Corp student. I might also add that I had been a Word Over the World (WOW) Ambassador. So, I wasn't a passer-by in the ministry. Moreover, the best year of my life was as a WOW Ambassador.

I would also like to add that I had gone to many churches and heard a lot of different theological interpretations since I began going to Sunday School as a youth. The only one that was absolutely convincing to me was what The Way International taught. Further, when we were taught, we were told to go and study it for ourselves and not to take their word for it. I can add that I questioned some of the teachings when I heard them.

As far as the plagiarism goes, I can't verify anything one way or the other. It was mentioned about E. W. Bullinger's work; The Way International promoted the use of his works, including the excellent Companion Bible. Now, if I plagiarized someone's work, I wouldn't reference you to it. Besides, the truth of God's Word is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I also never recall God or any of the writers of the Bible requesting a copyright.

I would also like to address the love-bombing that was mentioned. God is love and expects us to love: "Be ye therfore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us..." (Ephesians 5:1,2) I remember someone trying to tell me that they (The Way International) pull you in with love. What are the alternatives? By the way, the love didn't pull me in, the Word did. Someone from The Way International was the only person to be able to show me from God's Word that I was absolutely "saved/born again." You hear it and you read it here and there, but you have to be convinced to feel at ease.

If The Way International is corupt now, I can't speak to that. All I know is that Dr. Wierwille started something that, I believe, helped a lot of people on the road to a closer and better understanding and relationship with the one true God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. If he stands accused of teaching what he believed to be the truth of God's Word, then every religeon in existance also falls into that category.

The problem I have found is that most people feel threatened by change. This, of course, is no revelation. I can carry a conversation on with a Christian, but when I say somehting contradictory to what they believe, they usally don't want to talk anymore. Then it becomes you can't talk about politics or religeon. Why is it that an organization that doesn't believe in the Trinity is automatically categorized as a cult (e.g., The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints)? Heck, I have heard people call the Catholic religeon a cult. Which Bible is the correct Bible? The Catholics have at least one and the Protestants have more than one version.

You might take a lesson from The Way International and begin to minister in a loving way. Speak the Word and the Word will speak for itself! Those who want to hear will hear; those who are closed minded won't.

By the way, it was mentioned that several topics taught by The Way International were innaccurate; could you please reply with those so that I can study to see what is the truth. John Lynn apparently mentioned there were some. I am always open to God's Word. I just get frustrated when peple hear something different and refuse to "listen."

Remember II Timothy 2:15: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." This means that there must be a way to wrongly divide.

How about II Peter 1:20: "Knowing this first, that no prophesy of the scripture is of any private interpretation." If there is to be no private interpretation, then it must interpret itself.

With all of the religeons out there, there must be a whole lot of wrongly dividing and private interpretation. Who is right? Are you? Am I? The only Word we can absolutely trust is the original Word of God. Today, you and I, especially being from the western world, have to study pretty hard.

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Be ye therfore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us..." (Ephesians 4:31,32;5:1,2).

Only Jesus Christ was perfect. I can try my hardest to live by the Word and to say "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 3:13,14).

May God's Word guide your future paths and bless those it reaches!

In Christ's love and service,

Blaine
